HISTORY/VINEYARD
HISTORY
The de Bire family owned the castle until 1824. Then, the Lord of Baurech’s young daughter got married to the Count of Lambert Des Granges and offered the castle to his husband. By the end of the 19th century, the family decided to sell the property.
Julien and Martine PALAU have been charmed by this beautiful property and its area; they bought the CHATEAU LAROCHE in 1976. At that time, the surface of the vineyard was 16 hectares, it is now 25 hectares. In 1989, they bought another property, the CHATEAU PONTET TEYSSIER-AOC Saint Emilion Grand Cru that covered 6 hectares.
